Old blood after a bleed

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows how long it normally takes for old blood to leave your body after a bleed? As per my previous post I was in hospital around 1.5 week ago due to a bleed because of my placenta previa issue.

I am still having some brown spotting when I wipe which midwife said is normal, but wondering if anyone experienced the same after a bleed and how long it lasted for? Appreciate all bodies will be different.
