Hey lovelies,
Just looking for some reassurance & others experience.
Conceived through IVF with DE, diagnosed with low PAPP-A at 12 weeks - the little bean is now 28 weeks and at the growth scan yesterday we saw him head down, wiggling away & not so little at 1kg 🥰
The sonographer commented that he has;
- good heartbeat
- good blood flow to the brain
- good blood flow in the umbilical cord
So far so good & I was booked in for another growth scan in 4 weeks time.
Looking through the notes I've noticed "grannum grade 2" - which upon Googling I've read that typically doesn't happen until 30-38 weeks. Now I'm thinking that my placenta is perhaps aging too quickly (IVF & low PAPP-A both known as risk factors for this)...
Not too worried at this stage as the sonographer didn't comment on it (and indeed she said the blood flow was impeccable!) - I'll still be asking the consultant about this next week at the follow up appointment, but just wanted to see if anyone else here had a grade 2 placenta prior to 28 weeks? How did your calcification progress?
Thanks as ever and hope everyone's pregnancies are progressing peacefully & uneventfully xxx
