I had a private scan last day due to some spotting and personal worries at 8w3d.
Both babies looked fab measuring on time with good heartbeat.
although after seeing the report my cervical length was 24mm but wasn’t mentioned on scan?!
after googling I’m so confused obv is not good measurements but then lots of ppl mentioned that cervical length is not accurate when measured so early?
was wondering if anyone had any experience or some word of wisdom will be appreciated xx

Best not go down the rabbit hole that is Google ! Concentrate more that babies looked good and had a strong heart beat Think this can be checked between 16-24 weeks of pregnancy if necessary You could discuss this with your midwife at your next appointment
hi Claublsk I wondered how you are getting on with your cervix management? I’m asking as I realised mine is borderline short and I found out because I paid for a test out of my own pocket.
The NHS denied me the test - I was worried as j had a small procedure years ago.
I’ve been doing lots of reading and it sounds like progesterone could help you as well as a cerclage.
I moved to private care and my consultant put me on progesterone pessaries to prevent preterm.
I hope everything is progressing well and that you won’t need to do anything else
I had another scan a few days after the first one and my lining seemed to go up to 30mm, the doctor mentioned that due to twin pregnancy I should closely monitor it after 16weeks and get a stitch if it’s getting too short. Also he mentioned that in that early stage the lining is not reliable to determine an issue as it’s constantly changing?!
I’m already on progesterone as it’s an IVF pregnancy.
May I ask how far along are you? Also, I’m meeting my consultant next month (i hope he’s good but..) if it doesn’t feel right I may as well go for a private care. May I ask how you choose or who you’re with?
