Breech at 30 weeks

Hi again,

So everything went ok today at my growth scan regarding size of baby which I'm very thankful for.

However the sonographer has told me baby is breech. I'm 30+5 so realize there is still time to turn.

I know CSections are very safe if needed. Its just difficult when you've been planning a natural birth to get your head around possibly having baby this way instead.

Just wondering how late peoples babies have turned the right way up really.

Thanks :)

I literally tried all the tricks, nothing turned him!

Ahh ok, so then did you go into labour before planned Csection? X

My baby turned around 32 weeks. But I had to have an emergency c-section in the end anyway! X

Hi! This website was recommended at our NCT classes, they have some suggestions on what you can do to help baby turn spinningbabies.com Very best of luck and try to keep an open mind, in the end, baby dictates what type of birth is best. Like you, I was planning a natural birth but ended up with an emergency cesarean. In hindsight, I wish I had gone for a planned one. The cesarean itself was the easy part, what is traumatic is the escalation of circumstances that lead to it. Best wishes for an easy and straightforward birth!

Thankyou thats really helpful. And yes I'd rather have a planned one then emergency section and everything that leads up to it. Ill have a look at spinning babies xx

Mine was breech from 29 weeks and never turned and we had a planned C-section. It wasn't what I would have originally chosen, but it really was a good experience - and I promise that once the baby is in your arms, you won't care how they came out. Good luck x
