Hi all, after a few weeks of monitoring with some preeclampsia concerns, last Thurs I finally tipped over the edge of the thresholds in both protein in urine and my blood pressure to be diagnosed with preeclampsia. They've put me on some blood pressure meds as of last Thurs and then I'm due back in today (36+6 today) for another round of monitoring to see how things are going/if anything is getting worse.
They are still talking about trying to get me as far as possible but in all reading (including NHS site) they talk about getting you safely to 37 weeks if possible and then looking at delivery. I'm currently booked in for 38+3 for a section (booked prior to this diagnosis but I'm the midst of the concerns) - and I have some real concerns over waiting another ten days.
Has anyone else had experience with this and if so, when did you deliver?? 💕💕

Hi lovely - it sounds like its been picked up before it got too bad which is really good. Hopefully blood pressure medicine and monitoring will be doing the trick. I had to go direct to the hospital at 35 weeks and in the end it was an emergency c section at 36+6 so if you have a planned c section already that sounds good. They found it hard to get my blood pressure under control as I think I was really ill before it got picked up.
Hi Minnesota. Oh dear, not what you want to hear, but you will be carefully monitored. At least baby is fully developed and safe to be born. They will wait as long as is safe, so try not to worry too much. Thinking of you. Diane
