Baby measuring on 10th centile!

Worry never stops! 🙈Went for a scan today 27+ and baby is measuring on 10th centile. From what I can tell- he is doing fine, kicking lots. Can anyone share their experience on this!? Getting re-scanned in 3 weeks. Thanks!

hi, our little one went down to 6th at 27wks and hovered around there until 38 weeks where she went back to 17th… she’s now almost 12 weeks old and very healthy. I know others who at about 33 weeks they reduce centile suddenly and were induced early, so in a way I’m glad she was flagged sooner and we had all the scans to make sure/track she was growing ok. It’s natural to worry but good you have the next scan to keep an eye on them x

Hi Millay, while I don’t have personal experience of this, I just wanted to reassure you that even if things don’t change, it can still be okay. A friend of mine’s son was born in the 10th percentile and is doing really well. He is slightly younger than my daughter at 18 months. Babies come in all shapes and sizes so try not to worry too much. Also things may change in the last trimester.

Heya. I myself was born tiny - around 5lb5oz, 5th percentile - and I was absolutely fine no health issues whatsoever. I am hardly huge (5ft2 fully grown 🤪 ) but healthy 👍
