So, you aren’t supposed to take ibuprofen at all when you’re pregnant (not just after 30w) BUT one 200mg tablet is unlikely to do any harm. Might be worth just mentioning to your midwife but I’m sure she will say not to worry xx

thank you, I’ve not taken any before. My head was thumping and I just automatically went to get one. Then two seconds later I was like … f**k 🤦‍♀️ I know I’m maybe being a bit paranoid it’s just taken so long to get here the idea of ruining it now 😢 xxx

Oh bless you, don’t worry. I’m sure it will be ok. It’s easily done- I took an antihistamine just after embryo transfer a couple years ago before realising histamine is essential for implantation and had a complete melt down I’d ruined everything. Also accidentally ate salami more than once when subsequently pregnant from that round 🤦‍♀️ xx

Hi Boo, I know it's hard but don't worry. One very small 200mg dose of Ibuprofen won't do anything. There are so many things that pregnant women can't do and honestly so much it is being overly cautious in my opinion. I recently found out I shouldn't be drinking tonic water because of the quinine in it, which I had had on occassion but had no idea I wasn't meant to be drinking it. The list of things you're not supposed to do in pregnancy is frankly often ridiculous and there will be so many of these things that women do without even knowing they're on the list of things you can't do but who have no issues in their pregnancies. I do understand the worry when it's taken so long to get to this stage xxx

It should be out of your system fairly soon - that small amount as a one off I am sure won't do any harm.

It's so hard to keep track of what you can and can't take/eat.

Xxx

Hi Boo, no need to worry, a one off is fine. It’s extended use that’s an issue so you will be fine.x They recommend alternative painkillers as there are better ones out there but some people have to take ibuprofen for specific reasons & they just get monitored more closely.x. On a positive note, over 30 weeks now!! Yaey!
