early pregnancy cramping

hi all - I have read a few posts about early pregnancy cramping and I am 5w3 and the cramping I get wakes me up at night. Sometimes it is mild and sometimes it is a bit painful. My nurse said I can take parecetamol and use a heat pack but this doesn’t seem to do much.

The cramping usually happens 3 times a day and is random and lasts for about 10mins each time.

I have no other symptoms really and there is no bleeding. Has anyone experienced this and found a comfortable way to lessen the symptoms??? Thank you

I had cramping throughout my first trimester. It stopped in the second one and I think it coincided with stopping the progesterone pessaries. Hang in there! It is very unnerving but very common as well.

oh thank you so much. I stop the pessaries at 10 weeks so fingers crossed!

I had cramping quite consistently up til about 7 weeks. It can be unnerving and uncomfortable but try and think of it as your body doing what it needs to do to get ready for baby. It's very normal!
