Hey everyone,
It has been a bit of a bumpy road, but finally we have our little baby boy who was delivered yesterday.
Our story is not as long and painful as some of the amazing people in this forum. But thanks to everyone for being so supportive and welcoming throughout this and my last pregnancy.
We have been so lucky, a natural pregnancy after a failed IVF for our first girl 4 years ago and then while waiting for our only remaining frozen embryo transfer this year we tried letrozole and cyclogest and had success!!
1st pregnancy was a rollercoaster with a surgery during the pregnancy, but this 2nd pregnancy at 42 was so much smoother. A few bumps with a vanishing twin and covid and sickness, but feel fortunate that it was so smooth.
So for any fellow geriatric mama's - you can manage to have a lower risk pregnancy after all!
The induction was so smooth this time around - I am so glad we waited until 40 weeks as a lot of the work had already been done, baby was far down and cervix already soft. I know this is not possible for everyone to wait, but if they let you, it was a really positive experience for me.
I would like to hang around as I feel so invested in the other people on this forum who have been going through pregnancy at the same time!
