Egg Carrycot

Hi all,

I'm gonna be a 1st time mum and was just looking for some advice as Google isn't helping. We have a next to me crib we want to keep upstairs but for daytime naps we have an egg carrycot we were going to use but we wanted a stand for it so it's secure but not on a dirty wheeled pram. Can we use an adjustable moses bracket stand? Does anyone else do this?

Thanks x

My friend did this with her pram, putting the carrycot on a moses basket stand, it was a silver cross rather than an egg but same principle.

We had a moses basket and stand for downstairs. For the first few weeks though baby slept in the moses basket inside the next to me because the next to me on its own was too big for him at first, so that just something else to consider.

Exciting times!

I wanted to do this - but our health visitor said that pram baskets weren't suitable for bedside - but no idea whether that is true....

It depends on the brand (and I believe the firmness of the mattress pad). We have the Uppababy which was suitable for overnight, but not sure about the others - best to check with the manufacturer.
