oh man I am 14 weeks and have a blooming awful stomach bug there’s heaps going about here. I can’t even keep water in. Any tips on staying hydrated? It’s just day one so havent contacted anyone but I am sooo thirsty xxx

I was told Dioralyte is safe to take in pregnancy. Hope you feel better soon x

Oh. Poor you, that sounds awful. Do you have a local triage department you could call for advice?

I had it last week at 36 weeks and called my GP who told me to call the maternity assessment unit who put me on fluids and gave me anti sickness medication. The GP insisted if MAU wouldn't see me they wanted to check me over so definitely might be worth giving them a call. I also couldn't keep water down and was very dehydrated after only about 8 hours. I was only being sick for less than 24 hours although did continue taking the anti sickness meds for about 4 days until I felt better.

Take things easy - try little sips of water/ flat coke or even ice cubes to suck But as above post says maybe should get in touch with GP sooner rather than later
