Will aspirin after spotting has started help with mc?

hi ladies

Here am again at wk 6 with no symptoms and spotting with brown discharge and some episodes of red blood. Also having lower back ache and cramping and feel my period be here at any time.

My gp has prescribed 75 mg aspirin. Will this help at all?

Any thoughts be appreciated?

Hi Preety,

My clinic put me on low aspirin during this round of IVF as it is known to help with blood clotting issues. Also a friend who had a number of miscarriages had a successful pregnancy after she took it so definitely some hope that this could help. The main thing is it won't harm so worth a try.

Can imagine after your previous losses this is a tough time so hang on in there. Have you got an early scan booked in? X

No scan as gp said too early for a scan but doing my hcg tomorrow

It's good they are doing HCG so hope you get nice high levels back and the aspirin helps. Good luck

Not sure if your history but could be worth taking progesterone if you’re not already on it as can help if you are spotting and have a history of MC. Tons of luckX
