I am awaiting my 20 week scan & it’s still 4 weeks away. I’ve been so ill the last couple days & this morning tested positive for Covid so I’m stressing. I rang the widwives & they say just rest & drink plenty. Anyone else been in this situation ? We found out we’re having a baby boy last week so very happy but this is making me worry

Good & Bad News - 17 Weeks 👶🏻💙 Positive Covid Test 😭
Hello lovely. So sorry you are sick! Covid is the worst. Had you managed to get your booster vaccine before testing positive?
If worried, you could ask the midwives for a baby aspirin prescription or similar in case of blood clots. I understand some are prescribing this for pregnant women with Covid although honestly it seems to vary by hospital trust. An oximeter (can buy on Amazon) can also be reassuring as you can regularly check your oxygen levels are good (above 96), which can be the other worry with Covid.
Hope you start to feel better soon xxx
no I didn’t get the booster I’ve had my 2 vaccines but decided against it as I’ve had covid 4 times now so don’t even feel it helps. Thank you so much I’ll look on Amazon for that ❤️
Hey - have a look at my posts - similar tested positive at 17 weeks.
I rested a lot - slept for about 3 days solid.
Made sure I took my vitamins and took extra Vitamin D.
One thing my midwife said was essential to move around. I went on a daily walk (not close to anyone), and even did my weekly yoga class online to help with this.
I have had my booster but only 2 days before contact with someone infected so not sure it did much.
Hope you feel better soon!
thank you I have been worried I’m not really moving around I’m just lay in bed so I’ll wrap up & go for a walk later. I’ll have a look at your post now. ❤️❤️
Hi, I tested positive for COVID at 30 weeks, it was awful, just had paracetamol and rest. I just start feeling a bit better 2 weeks later. Baby is absolutely fine, moving around, I didn't have time to get the booster either as I received the text the previous day !! Just look after yourself!
I had covid at about 19/20 weeks. Fluid, rest and move when you can. Fluid is really important. I ended up really hydrated but that was the only complication in that.
Hello,
I tested positive for Covid when I was 29 weeks pregnant with my twins, on NYE! I was asked to go into the hospital to check on babies as I was having a high risk pregnancy, and they were both absolutely fine. Rest up lots, keep yourself warm and really well hydrated xxx
Me and my husband both had Covid when I was 17 weeks, it’s annoying but don’t worry, you will be fine! Xxx
I had covid when we were just over 3 months, I had blood thinners from the midwife and had to keep checking and recording my oxygen and temp. Little one is currently 3 weeks old today and all was fine 🙂💙 xx
ahh amazing thank you 😊 I seem to feeling loads better now but keep having bad night sweats xxx
