Hello! I tested positive for covid last tues and just wondered if anyone has experienced anything similar. I’m 7 and half weeks. The day I started getting symptoms my nausea went through the roof. So much so I needed to go to the early pregnancy unit yest for additional help with it. Pre-covid my nausea was practically non existent!! Has anyone experienced this?? And did the nausea go when you tested negative??? Praying it goes soon 🙈xx

Covid and pregnancy nausea
Hey, I tested positive in March when I was 23weeks. I was long past the early pregnancy nausea stage but the Covid made me so sick. I was vomitting for days. It was a symptom and nothing to worry about according to my hospital. I imagine once the virus helped, you will feel like yourself again. Best of luck.x
Hard to say because you’re at the prime stage of pregnancy for those symptoms to start kicking in anyway. I never really had much nausea until 7 weeks with both my pregnancies and then it was intense. I had covid at 7 weeks pregnant this time and to be honest it was impossible for me to tell what symptoms were covid and what was first trimester but it’s entirely possible it’s a complete coincidence!
I know I did wonder whether it’s coincidence! My pregnancy unit said they are getting a lot of women in where their sickness is getting worse when they’ve had covid. I guess I’m hoping it’s more this explanation so that it goes soon but time will tell I guess! Hope you’re feeling ok now 💕
Hi I had covid at 13 weeks and for a few days prior to having it my nausea and sickness had been getting better, when I had covid it came back twice as bad. I am now 16 weeks and just starting to feel better again. Hope your symptoms aren't too bad x
Hey, similar to above, I had covid at 14 weeks and made my nausea (which had been getting better) much worse. By my 16 wk appt with the midwife, I was completely freaking out and she really reassured me. She said that nausea tends to be much worse when run down and tired, and because thats what covid does to you, it’s not unusual to have more nausea and vomiting due to this. Sure enough symptoms settled down again within a week. Get some good rest, keep hydrated and look after yourself! And if the nausea persists, hopefully it’ll get better in your 2nd trimester!
