7w3d stressing like crazy

Hiya,

I'm currently 7w3d and and have my viability scan on Thursday and am freaking out. Can't sleep having nightmares about the scan...I'm going insane. Anyone else felt the same?

I am analysing my boobs constantly...some days they are sore and some days they are not! Its driving me insane!

I want to POAS but worried I might get hook effect and then that will make my anxiety even worse. Are clear blue digital effected by the hook effect or just FR?

Sorry for the long post! Xoxoxox

Just stay calm - not everyone has the same symptoms in early pregnancy and it can vary day to day especially if you are a bit stress. So take it easy- keep busy and before you know it you will be having your scan on Thursday Take care

Ahh keep calm as much as possible stressing won't help 😒 also I didn't get sore boobs in the first trimester. I am now in the second though so don't analyse things like that. I'm sure Thursday will all go well ❤️💫

At the point you are now, I didn’t test anymore as I didn’t think it would pick up the right signals as your hormones take a while to go back to normal when no longer pregnant. I was expecting bad news at my 7 week scan despite no signs of anything going wrong because I was still mindful it was early stages, but at the same time, I was hoping everything would be ok. Everything was fine and I was shocked that things were progressing! I hope you soon go past those early weeks of symptom spotting, which are quite unsettling and can start to enjoy it a bit more. Try not to focus on symptoms too much and just look after yourself and take it one day at a time. All the best for your scan!

Thanks for the reassurance. One minute I am desperate to test and the next I'm too scared. Il going to try and keep busy! So glad your scan went well and are enjoying your pregnancy 😀

My boobs felt absolutely normal with this pregnancy. Clear blue (the one that tells you weeks) would be your best bet if you want to test again, if you use fr you'll end up over analysing the lines and going blind. Totally normal to have super aniexty, all over again. Take each day as it comes and your scan will be here in no time at all and you'll see your little bean xxx

Thanks for your reply. Thats reassuring that you didn't have sore boobs! Yes so true re lines on FR. I was staring at pregnancy tests for about 5 minutes in the shop today! I didn't buy one.... which I think is a good thing! 2 sleeps to go 🤞🤞

Hope you had/have a good pregnancy x x x

Hi lovely. My boobs were completely normal for the first three months! It's not unusual. I'm not sure if this will help you as we're all different, but it reassured me to think "Today, I'm pregnant" and "Right now, I have no reason to believe anything is wrong". Hang on in there! You're doing great. xxx

That's a great mindset to have thank you! Your right I don't have any reason to not think its ok. I almost feel too lucky to even get this far and its too good to be true! Which my husband said is ridiculous! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ thanks so much x

I totally get your anxiety and when I was pregnant, I remember feeling like you. Well done for not texting as you have shown you have more will power than I did. I bought a few cheap ones as and tested a few times a week. I found it alleviated my anxiety until my viability scan at 8 weeks. My DH thought I was loco 😜 I also asked my GP for a HCG test.

I did not have sore boobs either until later on in the pregnancy. I really hope it goes well. 💐

Thanks so much! Glad I'm not the only cray cray one ha ha! All went well yesterday. So feel slightly better! 😊 now just the wait until the 12 week scan! Did you pay to have private scans in between the NHS ones? X

I looked into it but did not find a clinic conveniently located that had good CQC ratings. I was particularly keen on a 4D scan but my local hospital that did it had that department closed.

As it so happens I had quite a few extra scans in the end. In the first trimester due to bleeding and having brown discharged I had a couple of extra scans at the EPU. I was also offered growth scans in my second to third trimester as I had fibroids which grew with the pregnancy and gave me a huge bump.

Really happy your scan went well by the way x

Yes it must be reassuring. We have a good place very near to us. So thinking of booking one in at 10 weeks! X

*sensitive update*

Thanks for everyone's kind works to help ease my anxiety. Scan is done and saw the flickering heart beat! ❤️ measuring 7w4d and I'm 7w5d so I am super happy! I cried when I saw the heart beat!

My clinic don't measure heart beat but the lovely nurse said it looked good!

I cannot believe this! I never ever dreamt we would get this far!

Keep the faith ladies!!!

Hun you’ve been through a lot to get to this point, it’s normal to feel anxious! I had horrible nightmares too in the first weeks. I had my first scan at 5+5 and then one scan every 7-10 days. You can definitely have a scan from 6.5 weeks, can you have a scan sooner than Thursday? Don’t worry, no reason to believe there is something wrong. I had sore boobs for few days only and nausea kicked in at 8-9 weeks and now is very little. All the best and let us know when you have the scan xx

Glad it's not just me with the nightmares! No I didn't have an early scan. I wanted to but my husband wasn't keen! Think I will have one at 10 weeks. X x
