First ICSI cycle starts tomorrow!?!

I am starting my first cycle tomorrow!?! Me and my partner have been trying to conceive for 5 years and due to male factors we have been so lucky to have been approved for 3 cycles on the NHS. I Would love some advice on what to expect / diet / injections and any thing in between, I don’t know any one that has been through ICSI or IVF so I’m abit scared as I have no one to ask for advice and support though the journey

I’ve found that reading through other women’s experiences/posts on here does help, that’s why I chose to join, I have never joined an online forum before! Only the women on here truly knows how it feels going through IVF.

How’s your cycle going? Have you now started the injections, if so, how are you finding them, are you having any side effects?

I too have been approved for 3 cycles to be funded via the NHS as I have a genetic disorder.

If you are smoker then the hospital probably advised you to stop smoking and reduce alcohol consumption. I don’t smoke however I do drink, I cut it out completely. It’s also good to decrease caffeine intake, I switched to decaf.

ICSI significantly increases the chance of producing eggs which have been successfully fertilised to produce embryos as they are injecting a sperm into each egg so it’s good the clinic are doing it!

Hi Sarahjanea88 hopefully I should start my first cycle Monday if my bleed starts between now and Monday morning. It’s our first ICSI due to make factor. We were lucky to be approved 3 cycles on the Nhs.

I hope I bleed between now and Monday morning because my cycle according to my chart starts Sunday. if not my treatment has to be delayed till my next cycle due to holiday closures.Keeping my fingers crossed . Wishing u all the best in this journey .
