Egg quality issues - did your clinic change protocol between cycles?

Hi all,

We had a bit of a car crash of a first cycle. All was looking good in terms of my response to stimms. They retrieved 18 eggs, but when injecting them, it sounds like there were issues with the shell and they sort of collapsed. Only two were successfully fertilised, one embryo transferred and didn’t stick. We have a follow up with the consultant in a few weeks to plan cycle 2.

Has anyone experienced anything similar and gone on to have better success with cycle 2?

I’m 39, so this could be age related!
