So I am still on my first round of IVF with the NHS in Liverpool.
In October I had a fresh cycle with my own eggs with my husband. We ended up with two embryos so one was transferred and one was frozen. I had medication and a 5 day transfer. I had numerous positive pregnancy test results but 2 weeks later I started bleeding and that was the end of that round.
We have unexplained fertility and were given the option for a frozen embryo transfer but using a natural cycle this month with the frozen embryo we had in storage so we decided to go for it. I had my transfer today and it went fine. The embryo was graded at A I think she said, and it has already started to hatch early which the nurses seemed pleased about so I am hoping this is a good sign this time around. My first embryo transfer there was no hatching at all so I am hoping this one is strong enough to make it for us. We don’t test until Feb 19th so I have decided not to test early this time around. Good luck to everyone on their journeys x

Good luck with this transfer. Hope the wait goes smoothly and you can relax during this time. It is an achievement getting this far so well done. Must be frustrating with the unexplained element but nothing is ever straightforward is it 🤣 sending you lots of baby dust and positivity xx
Good luck, I've literally just received a letter today from the hewitts centre in liverpool saying we qualify for funding so I'm going on this journey also.hope all goes well for you
Hiya and congratulations! I bet you are over the moon to qualify for funding ☺️Everybody at the Hewitt Centre is really lovely and respectful you have nothing to worry about. It’s really clean too and everybody is professional. The only thing I would say is it’s a bit of a nightmare to get through on their phone line when you want to get through to the nurses station but except for that I have no complaints. Are you entitled to 3 rounds?x
No I'm getting 2 rounds ,I'm in north wales and I guess funding only covers 2 ,so nervous but also ready.dont no how long of a wait it will be till first appointment tho.
Two rounds is still great! We started our journey by going to the doctors in Oct 2018 who did all our tests before we started at the hospital which made things quicker in the long run. Our GP then referred us after all the results came back and we had an appointment at the Hewitt centre in February 2019. I delayed the process because I needed to lose some weight to get my BMI down to 30 so they gave me until June to do that so I lost a stone and a half for IVF. They told us last year that there wasn’t a waiting list when we got approved for funding so if they don’t tell you then I would ask them. Have you had IVF before?xx
No haven't had ivf before, I've had over ten misscarriges and got diagnosed with aps syndrome last year a clotting disorder so I've had a lot of tests already, the letter said 12 months waiting list I've just re read it now so guess its gonna be a while yet.i just worry as I've just turned 35 so that concerens me a little
