Hi im new to this so apologise now, we have just had our first and only nhs IVF with ICSE cycle fail. I had 18 folicals of good size but only 5 were good after harvesting and only one made it to blastacyte stage, but failed to implant.
We're devastated and I'm not coping, I need something to focus on. How long should we wait to try again. It's going to cost a fortune so want to make all the right choices. Any advice would be apreciated.
Hi bethaney, I had to wait 3 periods for another fresh cycle before I could try again after my failed ICSI fresh cycle. However if you have Frosties some clinics will allow you to do a frozen transfer after 1 period. It soon comes round again, trust me! Plan a few date nights and have a couple glasses of wine (what I did) in order to feel like your both mentally and physically ready to go again! Xxx

Hi, i had my last cycle over a year ago which ended in a miscarriage. Mainly onhikd due yo finances we attempt to go for it but something hita us financially lok
I believe you are devastated as I will be the same. I am starting my IVF treatment very soon , start my Progynova on 31 oct, for 8 days than I will be on Meriofert injection 300mg.
I am really shocked hearing from 18 follicles they have not manage to implant one, How big were your follicles when you had your trigger injection? I think this is important too. I did quite a lots of researches on internet and spoke with some different fertility specialist in different countries and they said they trigger when the dominant is 18 mm. I think the NHS protocol is slightly different they trigger when they are 14-16mm, which is worries me as I am going through NHS as well. So they might not be enough mature to be fertilized and that's why they not leave enough.
What sort of medicine have you taken? And for how long?
Wish you all the best and keeping fingers crossed for you. I took Menopur for 12 days total Fyremadel for 6 days. I had two measuring 20 smallest was 13 and only 5 were under 16. Reading up I don't think it was the size but the HCG trigger injection that didn't adequately work but I don't know why. I have to wait for a few months before my consultant can fit me in.
One was transferred but didn't stick. I don't really understand it. thay said the rest of the folicles were empty, but when you read up it's not that thair empty but that something to do with the HGC didn't work. I'm waiting to see the consultant as I don't understand it. xx
That's really horrible. You had such a many follicle. Hope they will gave you a good feedback and you will manage to achieve a pregnancy next time. What is your AMH ?
I have 9.7, so not sure if is good one ..
Really looking forward to see what your consultant says.xxx
Hi, sorry I don't know my AMH. I don't think thay ever told me. xx
Hi Hidden, amazing you had 18 eggs, sorry that only one made it to blastocyst. I think you need to focus on egg quality. Have a read a book “ It Start with an Egg” really good information. I saw a fertility nutritionist and exercise to improve your blood circulation around your ovaries. It take 3 months to improve your egg quality. So use the 3 months until your next IVF cycle. Also when I triggered my egg for collection 2 was around 20 and the rest was about 16, 17. My second round of IVF - 4 made it to blastocyst compare to one from the first IVF. Good luck.
