symptoms without blood tests showing anything

looking for some clarity i have been on a long journey looking for a diagnosis had lots of test due to large red blood cells after being diagnosed with haemachromatosis and 6 months of venesections my iron levels have been reduced to a managable level my appointments have been with haematolagy and ive had 3 fibroscans which have shown a fibrosis score 11.1 ,7.9,10.8

the haematolagist has referred me to hepatology with an appointment that's in 8 months time non urgent as my iron is under control and they say my blood tests are ok

the thing is I'm having lots of symptoms that say something else is going on for eg itchy skin, belly pain disturbed sleep daytime fatigue head aches constipation pale stools amongst others

is it possible that my symptoms are due to a worsening of my liver but my bloods are not showing up the issue ?

could be, your fibroscan clearly shows that you have a concerning amount of fibrosis, probably an F3. Those are common symptoms of liver issues. A likely cause is the iron so with that managed there is a reasonable expectation for it to improve but it is important to be kind to your liver now. hopefully you can find a way to see a hepatologist earlier than 8 months

Have you had your blood ammonia levels checked? Elevated ammonia levels could explain some of your complaints (for example disturbed sleep daytime fatigue head aches) if other liver markers in the blood are normal
