It is a different strategy for identifying drugs that might work. They identified a number of candidates including some cancer drugs that should be studied. Useful data for researchers but there is a lot of work to turn them into treatments

Hi, what is the name of the potential drug that can help? My understanding is the following regarding genes that can impact fatty liver disease:

Patatin-like phospholipase domain-containing protein 3 (PNPLA3), this impacts Hispanics

Transmembrane 6 superfamily 2 (TM6SF2) this impacts Asians and Europeans.

I was tested for PnPLA3 via blood test since I have cirrhosis and it came back positive.

I know about this drug that was just released. I'm currently trying to get insurance approval to start it.
