My beloved doctor passed away so now I'm at a loss to find a new
liver specialist. I'm is the Austin area if anyone knows of a good doctor.
My doctor was the head of research & he was the best.
Thank you,
Margie B.

I'm sorry, I know how it is. Mine didn't pass but moved to another State. I really liked him and we were on the same brainwave. The new doctor who took his place, I don't feel the connection. Good luck.
Hi Margie I'm guessing it was Stephen. Truly one of the best docs in the country. I don't think you would go wrong with any of the docs at Summit. He ran a very good ship.
Yes I'm heart broken! He was my doctor but definitely had become a friend. He was a picture of good health & an advocate of healthy eating & exercise. I did go last week to Pinnacle his research institute where they give you a free FibroScan. My results were good. Of course I will be seeing an associate of Dr. Harrisons . Dr. Hayes Arnold. Dr. Stephen had told me when he retired to play golf he wanted me to see his buddy that he trained. Of course Dr. Hayes is just a gastroenterologist not a hematologist. But I will start there because he's also connected to Dr. Stephen's great work at Pinnacle. Also they worked in the same office in San. Antonio. I know the world has lost an amazing pioneer in liver care & also a great human being. He was also the driving force behind the new medicine that has recently came out. Way to young at 55.
I agree, he was one of the best among us. Do you know how he died? I don't recall seeing what happened.
They haven't released a cause of death yet. Hopefully when I see Dr. Hayes in late August he will know. I had just seen Dr. Harrison in April & he looked and felt great. He was joking around with my husband & I. So I really want to know. I was suppose to see him July. It was all of a sudden per the staff. But no cause as of yet.
