Hello, ai have read about a few people who said they no longer have cirrhosis. My question is did they really have it to begin with? I was told you cannot get rid of it. I would like to know if anyone has had a biopsy that changed? or is this just fibroscan results. Or even an mri that changed? Thanks

Hi Samson
Cirrhosis is another name for stage 4 NASH. People can improve be one to two stages from an early stage 4 diagnosis so they still have significant scarring but are no longer called cirrhosis technically. They are still very much NASH patients so it is a confusing use of words rather than a good description of the process.
There are cases of people having cirrhosis and then no longer having it in cases involving Hep C for which medicine is available now. Medicine was not a decade (or so) ago.
The hope for the rest is "if the Hep C people can do it maybe we can too"?
The best cure tonic is a lifestyle of good diet, exercise and no alcohol.
