Fibroscan Result Variation

I had a fibroscan done a year and and a half ago as I was a heavy drinketMy score came to 5.72 Kpa with ten readings. After Alcohol abstinence for six months I got another fibroscan done and the score surprisingly was 8.5 with 8 readings. My blood work is normal and I have no problems. What is the reason for the result variation?

At the lower ranges readings can fluctuate quite a bit but I would wonder about the 2nd test as the standard procedure is to average 10 readings so I'd be wondering if the tech was properly qualified. Your values are low so not a reason to panic but a fair thing to question.
