Fibroscan results

Hi everyone,

I know I’ve been posting a lot about being very concerned about my liver due to bad upper right quadrant pain for 6months +.

I finally had my fibroscan that showed a kpa of 3.8 which was very relieving but even with a strict diet (lost 20lbs and already a very tiny person) and no alcohol my cap score was still 248. I know it’s not terrible at all but I’m confused as google still says it’s pretty fatty but my dr acted like I lost the fat in my liver. Idk what to believe? I’m still sticking with a good diet but I don’t want them to brush off fatty liver like it’s nothing because we all know it can very well turn into something big. My goal is to reverse it but I’m lost as they really didn’t give any advice and even said I could handle a drink or two every now and then. Does anyone know more about cap scores and IQR? I also still wake up with all sorts of pain right under my right breast area. I’m at a loss as to how to fix it because itching seems to get rid of it.

I am so glad for you! I have recently been diagnosed with fatty liver and had been reading your posts. I am sure this has come as a bit of a relief for you. Keep up the good work!

Thank you!

I’m definitely relieved to know it’s not worse than I thought but kinda sad I’m still in the fatty zone with all my dieting and weight loss. I guess it’s still only 21% fat which is stage 1 but I wish I could have known it’s level at original diagnosis to see if I made any improvements. As long as I can keep it from getting anymore fatty I’m almost kind of happy it happened and I caught it early enough to make some lifestyle and diet changes for the better. Now I just need to learn how to cook healthy meals better.

I’ll also recommend that for anyone with URQ pain that travels to your back and shoulder to get adjusted at with a chiropractor. I’ve only been twice and my pain isn’t gone but it’s made huge improvements in just two weeks.
