Liver concerns in pregnancy

I’m 14 weeks pregnant but for the last 6 months or so I have felt a large smooth surface that I assume is my liver about 2 or 3 inches below my right ribs. It almost reaches the level of my belly button on the far right. It seems to be the exact shape of my liver so I assume it’s enlarged. I drank about 3 bottles of wine a week but completely gave up before falling pregnant. I’m wandering if I should be concerned. I’m scared of loosing the baby and my health I guess but I’m not sure feeling this smooth liver surface is ok

I feel no other symptoms, am completely well and strong and have good energy. My bloods are all good and liver function tests normal!

We can't really give you any real help as that requires a doctor, but you probably know that there is a small risk of liver problem with pregnancy. My suggestion is to discuss it fully with your doctor and if you feel uncertain you might request a second opinion with a specialist. Depending on how long you were drinking that much wine you may have some residual damage but a lot of women with some liver damage do perfectly well with pregnancy. Good luck.
