I'm new to this site, and wanted to give a shout out to all of you nice folks. Getting the devastating news of liver disease is always hard. Having to change eating habits, taking medication, etc. It's so nice to have a group like this to share symptoms and tips. Exercise isn't my thing, but I'm going to make an effort to do something everyday, like take the dog for a walk. Going for another blood test this week. Hopefully my Dr. will have good news for me with my diet changes.

Welcome, it seems like you understand the things you need to do. Most of us struggle t get enough exercise so you are in good company. Hope you get good results.

Hi 👋 liverme2 welcome. Just take your time, concentrate on one day at a time. It all fall’s into place slowly. I was diagnosed September 2019 officially, had struggled for sometime prior to diagnosis feeling 😑 tired, anxious, nausea a lot of the time. Having been a healthy OAP walking several miles a day, swimming 🏊🏽‍♀️ and gym work, cycling 🚴‍♀️ walking my dog 🐶, it does knock the stuffing out of you eh. I’m now feeling much improved, managing to keep up with household tasks, walking my dog again, short periods in the pool 🏊🏽‍♀️. But best of all my new dietary needs menus, so much healthy foods to choose from, yummy 😋. A way to go yet, but with a bit of luck and the forum taking care of each other with a friendly suggestion, encouraging words, you don’t have to face it alone. 👌.

All best wishes chrissie.

I can't tell you how much your encouraging words mean to me. Thank you so much. Because all of this is so new, it definitely seems overwhelming. Glad I found the group and you.

Thank you, I’m so scared I keep saying that because it’s how I feel. I just got diagnosed In December 2019 but after my biopsy it seems to be worse then my Doctor thought I’m sure glad she did a biopsy and I pray I can reverse this Nash, I’ve been looking for answers on google it’s very overwhelming So I’m glad I found this group. I’m eating only greens and no meat. I was a sweet tea drinker everyday all day to no sugar drinks at all! I have to fight this for my kids I have 7 and my youngest is 7 years old on a few days.. I don’t want to leave her 😢

Following the diet your Dr. has provided, is one of the best things you can do. It brought my last labs now a lot!! Sure do miss the butter...etc. The alternative is not an option! It definitely is scary to receive the diagnosis about liver disease. This group has brought me the courage to hang in there, as I'm sure it will for you. We are all here for each other. Hang in there!!
