Tired: Is it normal to stay so very... - Living with Fatty...
Tired

Hello Hay
Fatigue is often the first symptom people have with liver disease. The liver is critical to the energy system of the body so if it is struggling everything else does too and the result is fatigue. A healthy diet that is easy on the liver is the primary tool you have to help the liver manage its condition.

Hi
Yes, tiredness is one if the main things to be noticed first but because I only get an hour or less sleep per night due to pain , it didn't surprise me that I was tired, pain was my first symptom. Please take care of yourself. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
Hi Hay
Yes, chronic fatigue syndrome was the first symptom I got. My doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong at the time. But within a year I went from being very active to barely being able to work part time. And it never got better. I just had to make a lot of adjustments. It's very hard.
Sadly this feeling goes with the condition, However I find it comes in spurts. You may have a week or so of being incredibly tired then 2 to 3 weeks of feeling normal. I can assure you we all get this. To help try possibly some doses pf Vitamin B as it helps with energy. But as always check with your Doctor first!
Hi,
I am tired all the time as well. I keep wonder if I am lazy or depressed. I find it hard to do even the smallest of things. I hope that your fatigue goes away. I was just at the hepatologist office last week and the NP told me that fatty liver does not cause fatigue. After reading all these comments I am starting to really doubt the office I am going to. I live in New Orleans and I think the healthcare system is horrible.
