Hi
How did your scan go? Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
Good Luck friend.
Thanks everyone for your support.
the fibroscan today took about 5 minutes - nothing much to it. Certainly nothing to worry about. I asked for the results but the nurse advised that they won't mean much because it is just one part of the information to be considered along with everything else.
Anyway, she said it's not cirrhosis. Good news!!!! The only information she gave me was that - my level was 290 and that they like it to be under 270 and an average is around 230. So I think (from google ) this means steatosis grade 2. Anyone know anything about these figures?
I see my gastroenterologist for the results in 2 weeks.
In the meantime I'll maintain my ultra healthy eating (although I've always eaten healthy) and I'm trecking 3.5 klm x 3 times a week come rain hail or shine (even though I've never been into exercise) . My bloods were greatly improved in the last test compared to those over the last 12 months and since I was diagnosed 7 weeks ago I've lost over 4 kilo (I'm not too overweight but could lose another 10 kilo to be at goal).
As well as seeing my regular dr, i now see a gastroenterologist and a holistic dr. And on Thursday I have an appointment with a clinical nutritionist.
So I'm doing everything I can to beat this. I think. But I'd welcome any advice from you guys.
Cheers
Bev
hi, how did it go?
Hi janey. I seethe gastroenterologist on Wednesday so I guess I'll get m diagnosis then. I'm a little nervous.
just seen your other post above. Some good news for you, the lower levels can still be reversible on the blood tests. I've had it before and it disappeared with the keto diet. It's not good to do the keto diet long term but if needing a period of remission i think it is helpful. When you get your results hopefully they will be looking st everything including if any medication you are already on is toxic to the liver as many are. A good cleanse of the liver would be nice and the exercise and extra healthy eating you are doing is actually helping your blood test results come back improved, so it looks hopeful. i'll keep my eye on your post, good luck x
