Hi Lorrie

Hard question to answer about a nutritionist and everyone is different in some way so can't be too specific. I'll give you a link to our view of what to eat, but a word about sugar. Honey is still sugar. It has a few other ingredients but don't assume it is better for you. Gastro docs don't get much education about nutrition. Hard to say not to listen to your doc so I'm reluctant to say that so ask some more questions as we are patients not doctors. However, here is a link to some information that may help you.

Hi Lorrie it was late when I replied to you so one other comment. Judgemental is part of the game. You didn't say how ill you are and the question about a bit of honey depends on what you are fighting. If you are quite ill not a wise food since it can contribute to the disease. If you are at an early fibrosis but compensated it is a judgment call. It won't help but in limited amounts probably will only delay your progress a bit. Hope that helps a little.
