Thank you! A very useful video right now!!

I normally TRY to keep to two 36 hour fasts a week and three 14 hour ones (not that I manage them all the time).

After seeing this I will be going for 17 hour 5 day a week and 24 hour 2 days a week.

I will also share this on facebook weight page. Thank you.

It froze towards the end but got the gist.

Out of interest does eating 1 square of dark chocolate break a fast? How about 33cl of lager?! (I can't always wait til 8pm!)

Keep safe x

Yes, one square of chocolate or 33cl of larger would break a fast - but why are you fasting and does it matter?

A few calories might not take you out of ketosis, and, if there was no carbohydrate, it would not spike insulin.

I am now BMI 25 (not that I believe in BMI) and almost too lean - so this afternoon I treated myself to a Toblerone.

I'm not deliberately fasting just don't eat usually in the day. Normally I'm out most of daylight but of course that's impossible now ... if I started eating or drinking early I probably wouldn't stop! (hence sucking little bits of dark choc )

I haven't checked my BMI as I think it's rubbish, but I've been at maintenance weight that body decided (around 10 st) since Jan 2019 .... still keep in touch with my weigh in team in case it ever goes astray!

As always, stay safe :)

Hi, cheritorrox .

Have you not checked your BMI because you know that the BMI system is not a good guide (especially for tall, old muscular people), or because you think that your BMI would be OTT?

According to my fat callipers and the BizCalcs 4-fold app, I am now 14% body-fat, which, it tells me, makes me "athletic".

I'm happy at 26.7 body fat and 22.2 BMI , both within healthy range. I also did my BMR (1282) and calories even tho I don't count them - had to redo from before as I must be classed as sedentary at the mo so it came out at 1538 - Around 400 less than moderately active!

I'd take a very rough guess that if I did do calories I'd probably come in at av 1600 at the mo .... but this could change if neighbours opposite keep throwing bits of lovely home-made cake to us (it's not far across road terrace to terrace!)

Keep safe x
