Actually the picture isn't great, but I think they are about the same colour as the penultimate square.

I'll test again at 48 hrs.

I've never looked at ketostix before, and that's how it looked to me.

Cosmo501 is a little higher apparently.

Or a lot higher, as it's at the top of the scale.

I wonder if there is any point in me getting ketostix. Apparently they stop working after a while, and I have been low carb since early December.

That’s exactly what I don’t understand about it. People say they stop working after a while... but they always work for me when I’m in ketosis. It really helps me understand, for example, if I’ve had a carby day, when the impact of that is over. Surely if you are eating low carb, and if you’re body is creating ketones, and if you’re not using all those ketones... don’t they just pass out in your urine?... I’m really cloudy on this. I should have looked into it more before this point I guess! 😖

Yes - Ketone pee sticks only tell you about ketone you excrete - so, when you are well into ketosis - and using more of the ketones you produce - the sticks might give a lower reading.

Then why is it that the longer I go in ketosis, the higher the reading?... that sounds like if I'm fasting for a long time then the reading should be getting lower?

You will be producing and using more ketones, and peeing a proportion of them.

If you were producing ketones at the same rate, and using more of them, then the reading would go down.

Is urinating on schedule one of the duties of an admin?

I always assumed if I was talking with strange women about urine, and looking at urine soaked objects on the internet , it would be sexier than this.

Or possibly that someone was going to have a baby at some point.

They didn't change at all when I tried them 🤔

I’ve read that breathalysers are more reliable than the sticks and the AT6000 model sold on the internet is a reasonably priced one. Apparently there is a knack to using them but once gained they are pretty good. I’ve not used one though.
