hi all, my 2.5 year old daughter was successfully disimpacted recently. She has gone to the 1 sachet of Laxido maintenace dose but today her poo has come out very round (she had a little trouble pushing it but it wasn’t really hard). Do I need to up her dose of Laxido?

Yes, you should up the laxido dose, because this a constipated stool and you should be getting type 4 sausage stools for maintenance.
Dear gemlin , have you been in contact with our free helpline? We'd recommend getting in touch for support with dealing with your child's constipation.
On this page eric.org.uk/family-events/ you will find our Talking about Wee & Poo webinar recording. This is such a helpful way to understand your child's bowels and how to treat constipation. There is another video on that page about disimpaction.
This is a good page to start with, on our website: eric.org.uk/childrens-bowel...
Also, check you are mixing the medication up correctly , with 62.5ml water before adding to any drinks etc.
eric.org.uk/advice-for-chil... - on this page you will find our handy poo checker. check this against your child's poo to see whether they are constipated. It can be helpful to complete a eric.org.uk/poo-diary/ to help you see what's going on.

That is normal, my little one is almost 5 and on 8 sachets of laxido an 1.5 ml of Senokot daily. Her poo has been like that before. Laxido generally softens it so i would increase the sachets to maybe 3/4:daily. But speak to your G.P first. The sad thing is I was hoping this problem would have gone away by now and infact, it's our living nightmare!!! She has struggled now for years. She is doubly incontinent and still in nappies but bright as a button in her first year in Reception class. The problem sadly has never got better. 😪
