Looking for natural constitation medicine suitable for an epeleptic child. I bought fibor jell, can not give it her as she has a genetic order. Which the pamphlet say's not to give. So i haven't. She stops herself from pooing and is very tense. She lives between homes and dose the same at her mum's.

It's best to speak to your GP to ensure that you get the best advice on what you can or cannot give based on your child's existing medical condition.

I agree with the other reply, definitely ask for professional advice, but it's perhaps worth having some suggestions too so the doctor can check through the ingredients first and confirm if they're suitable, we've just started Chicory Root Inulin syrup which is natural and helps digestion, also prune puree mixed with strawberry jam in sandwiches every day and fig rolls, best wishes 🌼

Because she's withold i'm scared she'll do herself some damage, lactolose would be fine if she drank enough to go with iy. She refuses to drink, giving herself a dry cough. Water will help if she helped herslf, doaen't help with living in 2 seperate homes each week. She also has a lot of other things wrong. I'm only step mum her mum agreed to see to her medical side and is going slow about it. She's been like this a year and i noticed it last march.

Hi, yes water is really good but if she's not wanting to drink it must be really difficult, have you tried twirly straws and making drinks look fancy like cocktails, my son drinks more if they look appealing, sorry I don't know how old she is to judge if that would be a good idea? Pears are good for constipation too and contain water if she'll eat those. Also ice lollies are good and weetabix. You might have tried all these already? I've attached a picture of the syrup my son has on pancakes, ice cream, in porridge etc but obviously check it's okay first 😊

I have got some albran in. She likes milk so i changed to greentop may get her some red top. She has a good appetite, trying to sort her out before it gets worse. Will have more tme for the holidays. When at school can not do too much. so we'll be able to get her going again.

Dairy can also be constipating in some too. worth being mindful of.

She dosen't drink loads of milk mainly give it her after her lactolose. So i know, thats why want to try alternatives to vimto and carrot juice which we don't give her. We give her fresh juice.

Hi yalemanda you always have sich great advice. Still gttng no were with mine, she's not drunk enough so walking to school with her dad. I'm trying to avoid her getting impacted. She's always constipated when she comes back from her mothers. I give her everything i can before she us, hoping she's not constipated when she leaves us either.

The problem is it needs a consistent approach otherwise all of the hard work you put in is worthless if it isn't done all of the time :(

I know i'v tried saying, her dad just lets her get on with it. Ss have have been involved but their useless. When ww had her 3 wks she did really well then she just goses backwards again. I tried telling ss woman this but she was all for her mother. Like we do nothing for her.

It's a tricky situation. There are some great resources you could share with the Mum from the Eric website, The Poos nurses video is very good and may help her understand the importance of this.

Hi thank you for all your great advice, childs finally going toilet and not constipated as much, she's doing so much better. I did all the suggestions and gave the same to her mother. She still didn't bother. We give her soreen and or a fibre bar every day when she here and that helps.

We'v tried all sorts even had a good routine and still went backwards. I'v researched all sprts to help that child and her mum nothing seems to. I'v said if she thinks its bad now, wait till she's on a period. Just pulling my hair out.

Thank you yaleamanda, the walking to school and back has been working. The exercise is good for elpeleptics too keeps her active with mind on the walking. No more lazyness. She's been aknowledging belly ache and we have the routine that both girls go toilet after school to keep that going. I haven't found any bubble pots yet, i definately will be doing.
