Reducing Movicol

Hi, wondered if anyone could shed any light on why this might be happening to my daughter, she was on 3 sachets of movicol a day, and have been told can start to reduce it now, so since Monday we have reduced it to 1.5 sachets (consultants instructions), but since doing this she has been pooping so much more, more than when she was on 3 sachets. Is this normal? And does anyone know why it’s happening?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know! Not what you'd expect. What's her diet been like in this time? If she's now wayyyyy too loose maybe increase it again a little? Halving the dose in such a short time span is a big jump. Maybe decrease by half a sachet every 3-4 days? I don't know. I'm no expert, just thinking what I'd do if it were my daughter.

Really isn’t what I expected. Her diet has been the same as before so doubt it’s linked. I think I might phone the doctor tomorrow and ask for some advice. Thanks for replying, was wondering if anyone had experienced similar.
