Most likely is constipated tbh. What meds is he on? My son has just started senior school.

I understand completely. My son is on 8 sachets of movicol, 3 Senna tablets and 1 bisocodyl tablet daily.

School are aware of my son’s issues and he has a toilet pass and spare clothes in school.

The SENCO has been amazing.

She’s actually put him on the SEN register and he’s having help in class at the moment.

He’s getting on really well and enjoying it.

I advise speaking to school and looking at meds.

Good luck x

Hello, are you able to provide more detail? My daughter is 6, so a bit younger but we are only now getting somewhere with her toileting. She has always had very loose bowel movements which isn't due to constipation and had been having wee and poo accidents everyday. Once we were in lockdown I decided to go in full force with the potty training (also have a 3 year old son) so started doing hourly drinks and toilet visits, and some progress was made. Then by chance I also discovered they seem to be intolerant to fruit so have cut this out completely, after this they got better at going for a wee and they now have much better stools. So then since roughly the start of "summer holidays" I told my daughter that she would get a sweet for every poo on the toilet and also have toy prizes after she managed so many (so at first she had to do 2 poo's on the toilet, then 3 etc to win the prizes) . The progress has been amazing. I think because she is older she needed an incentive to do it as she was so used to just doing it in her knickers, but I also think she wouldn't have been able to if we hadn't discovered the intolerance to fruit as I think (just my opinion as I'm not an expert) it irritated her insides which made learning to wee harder and also difficult with loose poo to feel when she needed to go. So going back to my start question, does your son have any other issues that may contribute to why he may find it difficult to not poo himself? Such as is he loose or does he have any other health/learning aspects that need to be taken into consideration?
