Hi looking for some advice/suggestions. My son is 7 years old and has complex needs from being 4 years old he suffered from chronic constipation and due to.his additional needs as now loss the urge to go toilet for a pooh. We have a plan in school where he is taken to the toilet twice a day and we have a routine at home. But he is still not understanding about the benefits of going listening to your tummy tell you. But also he has become more aware and it is making his aniexty/needs worse anybody suggest any books where I can make him see it's normal and that it's ok we have some books but there more specific to the benefits and why he does it. Not that it's something long term.
Thank you
Claire xx

Than you so much for your reply. We do do the fibre, fruit etc bit stricter on his diet than my oldest 😊 he is a really good eater as well, haven't heard of paw paw so will look into that. It's more that he has lost the signals that his body tells him to go to.the toilet for a pooh. Thank you xx
Constipation withholding and your child has some small sections that children can read to help them understand and A boy like you by James Parkin is for kids to read and helps them understand they aren’t alone.
