We were told by continence nurse we had to get to brown water before reducing medication with our boy. Good luck to you both and I hope it goes well.

Once you get to watery stools, don’t just stop - you have to reduce by 2 everyday and get down to pooping a soft smooth sausage, then find the balance of medication for them to poop that every day. You may need to up it or reduce it accordingly. Doctor I saw at the hospital told me to go on to a site called ERIC eric.org.uk/pages/category/... for help and support. Also to look at dgt.nhs.uk/our-services-spe... if doesn’t come up with video type in Movicol. They refer to the Bristol stool chart and poop should be at type 4.
