Nocturnal Enuresis Consultant in Essex/London

Hi everyone!

My daughter is 11 and wets the bed once/twice almost every night. Occasionally she will be dry if I take her for a 'dream' wee at 11 ish but mostly she wakes to a wet bed.

We have seen the GP numerous times and 2 different specialists, who have been as helpful as a concrete parachute, so here we are with another referral letter but I'd like to go private and need a consultant recommendation please.

We are in Essex, but could travel to London. Thank you so much everyone

Just on a little positive note - recently she attended her school trip and I was assured by her teacher that she would sort any accidents and no-one would know. The teacher subsequently didn't attend the trip and didn't hand over to the other teachers, so my daughter woke up wet in-front of 9 other classmates. She openly said "I've wet the bed" (pull-up leaked) and the 9 girls all took care of her, with no judgment or unkindness. I wanted to share this, as sometimes it seems like they should be embarrassed or that young children are always unkind, however this is a medical issue and the children understood that. I hope this will give you some faith in young humanity

I don't know anyone private but is there any chance you can get a referral to the Evelina hospital in London? We are there and they have a great department.

Great to hear how kind your daughters friends were to her, I'm sure nearly all of us on this site are worried about how other children will react.
