I’m in the UK and take Amlodipine 5mg at night as well as a statin. I use Sildenafil 50mg ( generic version f Viagra) and up to now I’ve had no side effects associated with any interaction between the medication.

I’m 66, I’ve suffered from ED for about 10 years, I was originally prescribed 25mg Sildenafil but it was increased to 50mg about 2 years ago as the 25mg wasn’t as effective.

I was prescribed Amlodipine and the statin about 18 months ago. I take both of these at night and usually Sildenafil in the morning as this is when me and my wife tend to have sex. I use Sildenafil about once a week.

Another concern is priapism . Could that be likely ?

I have hypertension and high cholesterol hence the need for Amlodipine and statin. Personally I’ve never experienced priapism with the use of Sildenafil. My GP prescribed the Sildenafil and reviews it annually as part of my medication review.

İs viagra worth it. ?

I think daily 5mg tadalafil (Cialis) is a better option. It’s in your system 24/7 and works when you need it with much less of the brutal sildenafil type side effects like headache and visual upset.

How about hypertension

There are risks associated with every medical intervention. Best to consult your doctor or pharmacist to quantify those risks.

Probably yes. I took it over 20 yrs until it started not to work as well. Then cialis 20mg. PRN.
