Hi Whirly

When did the side effects kick in for you..? I'm also on Zoladex (due to be on it for 6mnths). Had my first injection 2 weeks ago and so far with the exception of a nasty pain on my side and some breakthrough bleeding about a week later, I've been ok on it (famous last words I suspect)!! Due to have my next one in 2 weeks time. xx

i had my 6th and last injection last Thursday. I can't wait for it to wear off so that i can tell if my endo has shrank enough to be removed! i haven't had a pleasant ride with the zoladex i found my side effects worse far than the endo problems. :(

looking forward to trying to shift the 29lbs i've gained etc!

Good luck ladies xx

I was on zoladex for 3 months last year - seriously every injection counts, it shrunk my huge 10 by 10cm cyst down to 2cm within 3 months, took all the pain away. The hot flushes and night sweats were beyond awful but looking back it was the best treatment for me! They want me to have it again but I cannot put up with them hot flushes in the summer! .. Side effects normally kick in around 3 weeks, start to get hot flushes. But you have had 2 already? Why not get the last one over and done with and you are done! Seriously advise it! Best thing I done ... Best of luck xxx

Whirly did you have it or did you decide not to?

I wish I'd had the strength of character to stop mine sooner, but at the time I thought the doc would know what's best for me, and I was so out of it mentally.

I should hve stopped after the 2nd one, No doubt in my mind now about that. It just wasn't worth it for all the good it did versus the damage it did.

Hello lovely girls! I had my injection at lunchtime, I actually felt fantastic and couldn't stop laughing!!! Very strange!!!! No sickness yet and my nurse who did the injection said that each time the side effects will decrease! So let's hope so! I have some fibroids but unexplained pain and bleeding so if this one works then possibly it's a hysterectomy for me!

Does any one else have blood in their stools? I know it's not a nice subject, but we are all in the same boat! Lol xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
