sorry for this graphic question but does anyone else suffer from mucus in their stools? Can endometriosis cause this?

yes if you have endo invading the bowel it can cause mucus and blood and blood clots too. But it can also be caused by infections and dietary intollerance and lots of things in the intestines. So a visit to the GP to collect a pot for a sample is not a bad idea. Then when you book an appointment, you'll have your little gift ready to hand over to the Doc, which will be sent off to be tested for all sorts.

It does need to be checked out because it can occasionally be a sign of something more sinister, but most of the time it won't be anything serious, so don't panic, just be practical and prepare your little 'gift' in advance of visiting the doc.

some chemists also have sample pots that you can collect, though you might need to pay for those.

Hi, if you're hitting the anti inflamatories hard that can cause mucus in your stools as well. The anti inflams can cause an irritation resulting in this side effect, - check with your doc to be on the safe side - x

Hi. Just wondering what they did to help you?

Hi

This could be due to Endo but more commonly to other conditions like irritable bowel, diverticulitis and food intolerances. Really best to get everything checked out and mention it to the surgeon when you have the laparoscopy.

Good luck.

Thanks for all the advice, I recently had a sigmoidoscopy and that was clear. I take diclofenic, tramadol and codydramol daily so this could be causing it. Its all such a worry and guessing game, hopefully il get answers on thursday x
