Hi
It's different for everybody, but a week isn't really long enough for it to kick in. In fact, in the days after the injection things get worse before they get better.
You really need to give it up to a month before you'll start seeing any real difference
Hang in there!

Hi
I have had two prostap injections now, first one nearly 7 weeks ago and 2nd one nearly 3 weeks ago and I am only just starting to notice some effect on pain, I was told it would most likely be 6-8 weeks before I noticed any improvement in pain and thats been pretty accurate - the time it takes before things improve will also partly depend on whether it stops your period immediately or not, many women still bleed the first month, I didnt but its still taken 7 weeks for me to see any improvement - hold on in there and I hope you see some improvement soon. x
It will definitely take a lot longer than a week - it takes time for the drug to shut your ovaries down and for the oestrogen levels to fall. In some cases, the fall in oestrogen levels can cause a withdrawal bleed and more pain.
You may start to see an improvement during the first month, but it's more likely that things will start to change after the second jab.
Good luck
X
Hi, you don't really see a benefit until the second month x
Darn lol been so looking forward to it working I wake up everyday thinking yay maybe it's today it'll be better!! I'm sure you all know what I mean? (otherwise I sound like a petulant child) my boss tried to send me home today beacus? She wasn't convinced I was well enough to work because she could see my pain. I need a better poker face!!
