can anti histamine help with endometriosi... - Endometriosis UK
can anti histamine help with endometriosis. I came across in the blogs that women take anti histamines. what does anti histamine do?
Anti histamines are given for allergies, rushes, allergic reactions, hayfever etc. they have nothing to do with endo as a substance etc. I have taken loads of them cause of hayfever and allergies and the endo was exactly the same x
I take anti-histimines as the medications im on causes me to itch but does not effect the endo x
I take them to help with medication itches and also because they make me dozy (I don't think that's recommended though)
I don't think antihistamines help with endo itself, I can't see what the relationship would be. Unless it's just to stop sneezing, because that bloody hurts...x
You need to do very little research to find the connection between endometriosis and histamine.
That wasn’t the case in 2013, when I posted originally
But thank you for the nudge - as you say, the information is everywhere now. We must be getting closer to that cure!
Antihistamine can help as endo inflammation is caused by cytokines, which are produced through histamine induction too. Serraptase is used to dissolve endo adhesion and look at that!, it's also an antihistamine. Coincidence? I think not!
P.S.: please do not take antihistamine at random. Only use it when you feel an allergic reaction coming or happening. In case of abdominal pain and cramping in your abdomen, choose ibuprofen.
Histamine is part of your body’s natural immune response. After it’s released, it’s either stored or broken down by certain enzymes.
The histamine in your central nervous system is broken down primarily by histamine N-methyltransferase (HMT). Histamine in your digestive tract is broken down primarily by diamine oxidase (DAO).
Vitamin C can help block histamine. Vitamin C is available in many fruits and vegetables including cantaloupe, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, watermelon and pineapple, or you can supplement with it.
Nowadays there are too many online stores but all are not reliable, they are selling cheap meds only but result is not concern for them
Usually, the enzyme DAO, and to a lesser extent HNMT, breaks down ingested histamine, preventing it from being absorbed in the gut and entering the bloodstream.
Some factors can, however, interfere with how DAO and HMNT work, or how much of these enzymes are present in the gut.
It is always recommended to buy prescribed meds for such problems and buy only from reputed online stores like (Edited in line with Endometriosis UK's code of conduct).
Wrong. Please research before giving out advice.
When your body comes into contact with whatever your allergy trigger is -- pollen, ragweed, pet dander, or dust mites, for example -- it makes chemicals called histamines. They cause the tissue in your nose to swell (making it stuffy), your nose and eyes to run, and your eyes, nose, and sometimes mouth to itch. Sometimes you may also get an itchy rash on your skin, called hives. Visit mygenericpharmacy for more information.
Histamine intolerance occurs when there is a buildup of histamine in the body. Drugs, medical conditions, the environment, nutritional deficiencies, and diet can lead to histamine intolerance.
Aside from dietary changes, there is no set treatment for people with histamine intolerance.
But most people with the condition benefit from a few different medical treatments, depending on their symptoms or the cause of the condition.
Some of the most common medical treatments include:
taking antihistamine medication
taking DAO enzyme supplements
switching prescription medications
avoiding medicines associated with histamine intolerance, such as most anti-inflammatory and pain drugs
taking corticosteroids
Blood thinners are often prescribed to reduce the risk of blood clots and stroke in people with atrial fibrillation (AFib) not caused by a heart valve problem, who are at high risk of blood clots. The name blood thinner can be misunderstood, as blood thinners don’t actually “thin” your blood. In fact, blood thinners work by lowering the chances of blood clots forming in your body.
