Do a pregnancy test firstly. I've heard it can take up to a year for you to get your periods back, if you're worried then speak to your gp xx
Thanks for your reply missteal, i dont need to do a pregnancy test as they is no possiballity of me being pregnant, ive spoken to my GP ho says she doesnt know enough about prostap3 to advise me on it. All i eally want is a blood test to reasure me that i havent go into the full

Hi, after my first batch of prostap injections it took 6 months for my periods to return and then it was only a light bleed. I had the same worries as you about permanent early menopause and asked the gp for a blood test. The results showed low oestrogen but normal levels of something else (sorry cant remember exact name) which showed that I wasn't in early menopause.
I would ask for the blood test to put you mind at rest but it really is highly unlikely.I was also told that I didn't need HRT once the injections stopped but I most definitely did! I spent months feeling awful just because of the lack of knowledge some medical people have. You may also need the HRT if your levels are really low. I hope this reassures you as I got really upset at the time and it wasn't necessary at all!
Hey Hun,
it has been 23 weeks since my last injection, so 19weeks over it "running out" i am still yet to have a bleed either. i have noticed this week a few symptoms but none that are very significant to make me think Yay its happening!
i went to my GP who said it can only be a good thing because i am not having to go through the pain i have when i am on. Saying that, i still suffer with the daily heavy achey concrete feeling in my lower pelvis. My GP was lovely and said that everything can take a good year to start up again so not to worry - this didnt help me fully but it has made me less concerned that i have gone through a full change at 24. her parting words were "i wouldnt wish it to come back if i were you as i dont think it will be a pleasant one" at first i thought "cheers love" but now i see her point and im grateful she was honest.
i hope this helps, if you have any further concerns and want to drop me a message feel free, failing that head to your gp for that test
thank you for all your help
