Yes I did too! I brought some wind tablets and peppermint tea. I suffer with constipation generally because of the opioids I’m taking, so I have some medicine from the GP to help me go to the toilet. Could be worth sending someone to the chemist and getting something if you’ve tried the normal things. How are you doing other than that? X

The doctors gave me some senna tablets and some lactulose but that doesn't seem to be helping, I'm going to have a tea now, other than this I'm feeling great, it's odd not having the constant ach x

Senna can take a few days to work - keep going with it. Maybe try things like prunes/strong coffee ? That’s good to hear :) hope you have a speedy recovery xx

Wind settlers were my best friend after my laproscopy. They also tell you to do exercises to try and get rid of the wind. They helped tonnes too. All in all it took a few weeks to really get over the wind. Peppermint tea also helped. Wishing you a quick recovery xxx

Pure peppermint oil!! They come in capsules which I just pop between my fingers, let it drip in hot water and drink . They can be taken in the capsule form but I know the pain and I find my way produces a quicker release. I use Lindens Peppermint Oil Capsules (Amazon).

It’s going to be pretty uncomfortable for a while but keep your warm fluids up and move around when you can.

Hope it eases for you soon x

Contact your doctor Monday they will give you stronger pain relief. They gave me morphine as my wind pain was terrible. Get some over the counter laxitives in the mean time and peppermint tea and polos. I lived on polos.

peppermint tea, apple juice (the cloudy stuff, not from concentrate kind), heat pad, wind settlers. during the lap they fill your abdominal cavity with CO2, there’s usually still some in there until it dissolves away. it causes bloat and pressure. the drugs they used to anesthetize you will slow your bowels for a few days. it was 5 days for me before i had a bowel movement, which was two days after stopping my pain meds. i drank lots of apple juice and mint tea to help things along. good luck hun! you’ll feel amazing in two weeks!! take it easy and don’t put pressure on yourself, if they removed a lot of endo you just need time to heal internally.

Get some Docusate (stool softners) also Dulcolax (bisacodyl) laxatives. Then mint tea for the gas.

I've endured a lifetime of constipation and wind so know all too well the discomfort and pain it can cause.

All the best to you xx
