I used to look like I was 6 months pregnant and almost seem to inflate and that came with chronic pain and I have been hospitalised quite a few times, but now I don't get it half as much as I did and the pain is more managable i found out that some foods for endo sufferers can make their endo grow which make inflammation worse and that causes serious pain and painful bloating, so through trial and error I started experimenting with foods to see which ones, and researched and found oestrogen is a Big part of the growth of endometriosis, i have written a post on the endometriosis diet you may be interesting trying that and hopefully your pain will be more comfortable and some endo woman say they go some days pain free, I hope you try it and find you are more comfortable lovely x x

I seriously think that diet is major factor in pain reduction.

I'm gluten intolerant and so far I'm in gluten free diet, caffeine and alcohol free, no red meat and not too much dairy.

The result? I have deep severe endo in my right ligament wrapped with nerves, the type of endo that can bring the most severe constant pain. BUT

Since the diet all I need is a hot pad and NO painkillers...I guess this means something.

I will have my 2nd lap in a few days only because I want to preserve my fertility...if it was for pain I think I could manage without a lap!!!

So diet is something you should consider a lot!

I have polys ovaries and I think it's similar to endo. I would say putting on weight is a common risk for both and although we have different metabolism the rule of thumb should be watching the diet and exercising more. I would not go as being totally dairy and egg free but sometimes detoxing with fruit and veg and more water helps. Not all people can afford diets but this is easy to eat more lettuce and more fruit, after a few weeks you really feel the difference. I hope this helps

I have also found very significant pain reduction since cutting out wheat. I am now on far fewer meds and only really taking them during my period rather than all the time. Also fewer headaches and definitely less bloating.

Also when I am in more pain I am obviously less mobile so this does not help to keep weight levels good. I've done a lot more regular running since cutting wheat because I feel so much better and more energetic.
