i have just been diagnosed with suspected dermoid cyst..it is around 10 cms plus..having to also have a full hysterectomy..really scared..

on top of that i have thyroid problems which required 2 courses of iodine radium treatment...op due in the new year ..wondering if there is anyone else ..who has had this experience..i am under 50..obvious doctor advises chances are it is not cancerous..but can not guarntee...blood tests taken but still no answer until op done..

Hi, thinking of you, it is always a stressful situation before an operation and definate diagnosis, I know how I felt 9 years ago when my CA125 test was high and I was not sure if it was cancer, also hormonal problems can cause a lot of added stress. I had endo related cysts on both ovaries which were both removed due to irreparable damage and a hysterectomy but at least it was not cancer and as you say being under 50 all the chances look good.

thank you ...just so scarey at moment..had a road accident when i was 18 so i always put my aches and pains down to the accident, as my pelvis and leg was damaged..so i just got on with my day to living...until my monthly was getting so bad..pretty quick in been seen by gyno ..op due straight after xmas..
