I've been on prostap for nearly 8 wks now. And I'm having a period which is lasting 3 wks. My appointment for hospital wasn't unti December and being so tired/ in pain couldn't take it anymore. I phoned the clinic and they put my appointment forward to next week now. But since phoning them this morning I'm sure my period is stopping although still in a little pain. Was I being too anxious and worrying about nothing? Is this normal on prostap? I was so worried the period and pain wouldn't stop and now the period is. I feel a bit stupid now.
Hi Ive asked questions about prostap befo... - Endometriosis UK
Hi Ive asked questions about prostap before. But still worried about something.
I don't think you are being silly about bringing your appointment forward. They are the experts and will be able to put your mind at rest, or if necessary investigate other treatments.
But Prostap does take a while to settle down, and I suspect that's what's happening here. Which doesn't help you when you are in pain, I know!
Good luck next week, I hope you get it sorted out

Thank you. I hope they can do something. I was put on the pill back to back and still had periods and the same with the implant and depro injection. None of them could stop my period. I kind of got my hopes up with this injection. It was the big magic wand I really needed. Going into menopause surely I couldn't fail or so I was told. Hopefully it is just taking time to settle. But I was really down when I started my period as I was told I defiantly wouldn't have anymore x
