Hey hun,
First of all I would still keep going to your doc about it, failing that ring your consultants and ask for an appointment and tell them what is wrong.
I was told you can only be on prostap for 6mths at a time, so I can only go by experiences, I bleed a little at first and then after when I was taken off it.
Did your doc say how long you should be on it first, and if not I would question it because as far as im aware it is only 6mths then a 3mth break and then back on if need to as it can trigger the real menopause.
I hope this has been helpful and you manage to get things sorted xx
Hi Becky, how are you feeling today?
I find that towards the end of my courses of Prostap or Zoladex I start bleeding or spotting. It's your body fighting back against the drug, and although it doesn't happen to everybody, it's not unusual at all.
As limbiloo said, people are usually given 6 months courses of Prostap, but it's dependent on the consultant and the patient; I've known women be on it for a couple of years at a time
I think you're probably ok. Well, obviously you're not, if you're in pain! but I wouldn't worry about it unduly. That being said, if you develop a temperature or the pain gets unbearable, phone the out of hours doctor so they can check there's nothing more menacing going on
And make sure your consultant knows about it on Monday, it sounds as if your body has decided it's been on the Prostap long enough and needs a break
Good luck

Hi Becky
How are you this week-did the bleeding stop or are you still having problems?
Chrissie gives good advice about ringing your consultant as it would be a good time to have a review of your treatment if prostap is no longer working successfully for you.
Hope your pain has lessened too, x
